This week we celebrated summer reading with our Wet 'N' Wild Water Day! Students also watched the Summer Reading 2021 slide show that is attached below. We appreciated everyone's participation.

Mount Vernon City's Fire Department showed up near the end of water day to have some fun with the kids. I'm not sure who had more fun as you can see in the above picture!

We are blessed to have a fabulous PTO in "Friends of Wiggin Street"! They provided a snow cone machine as well as organized volunteers to help with the event. Parents helped carry buckets of water, passed out snow cones, and assisted with students in stations. The next FOW meeting is next Tuesday, September 7th, at 5:00 in the Wiggin Street Library. All parents and guardians of Wiggin Street are welcome. We hope to see you there!

Let's Move!

Thrive Kids is coming to Wiggin Street and we can't wait to get the kids moving! Thrive Kids is a movement and mindset class designed to help youth strengthen their body and mind in order to become confident leaders who are ready to take on any challenge! Classes are designed to teach youth the importance of proper movement and the power of a positive mindset so they are strong and confident in whatever activity they choose!

Thrive Kids at Wiggin Street will be held on Thursdays and starts next week at 8:15am-8:45am and is open to all K-5 students! Permission slips were sent home with your child and can also be found here.
