Weekly Announcements
10.06.23
We are celebrating the fall season on Tuesday, October 31. Students are invited to participate in our "Fall Dress Up Day". This day is designed to include all students and will include some fun, fall-themed activities in classrooms. Students can wear something fancy, a Halloween costume, Steck wear/school colors (navy/white), or something else. Students should be able to participate in the normal school day schedule with whatever they wear; attire should be something that can be worn to school and worn throughout the day. Students will not have time to change into another outfit or costume while at school. Costume masks, makeup, and accessories should be left at home. As always, clothing should be appropriate for school and not be a disruption to learning. Clothing and costumes that are not appropriate for elementary school will not be allowed during the school day.
We are going to continue our tradition with a Fall Parade on October 31 at 2:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Families are welcome to visit Steck to watch the outdoor parade. We recommend walking to Steck or parking in the street due to limited parking in our lot. We ask that visitors spread out while here viewing the parade. The parade route is here. We will start at door 1 and go toward McCoy, around the back of the building, and back in door 12. Please find a spot that is comfortable for you anywhere on the parade route. Our parade is closely supervised by staff. When the parade is over, students, staff, and PTA party volunteers return to classrooms for the Fall Party. All others visitors are asked to leave at that time.
We look forward to our Fall Dress Up Day!
Our PTA Fall Party is on October 31. We need volunteers for this party. If interested, please contact your child's teacher.
Enjoy the weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Pohlmann
