Springmill STEM Family Update

Hello STEM Families!

The days sure seem to be getting shorter and colder!

We have some fun activities coming in the next couple of weeks as we get closer to our winter break. Keep an eye out for updated information on the Christmas Choir (1st and 3rd Graders), incentive day and classroom parties.

Next Monday, December 11th, we have another 2 hour delay for teacher training. Remember, this is for STEM students only. The buses will run on a two hour delay schedule and the doors open for parents at 10:40am.

Please remind students about behavior expectations at school. These expectations may be different from those they have at home. One area that is highly important is being respectful. Students are struggling to be respectful to each other and to adults. Often students use unkind words toward each other that turn into arguments and fights. In order to reduce the disruption to learning, please remind your student of the importance of being kind. Now is a great time to promote peace!

Springmill STEM Elementary

Congratulations to the following students for their standout behavior in the month of November. These students exemplified our school expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe.

On December 15th, students that are eligible will be able to choose their 2nd quarter incentive activity. We will have a variety of holiday themed activities for students to choose from, including cookie decorating, movies & popcorn, games, and guided painting. (In order to be eligible, students must have 0 office referrals for the quarter)

All 1st and 3rd graders will be participating in our Winter Musical, "Have a Mushy, Merry, Snowy, Deery, Jingly, Chipper, Elvis, Grinchy Christmas." The performance is on Thursday, December 14th @ 7:00 PM. Students will need to report at 6:00 pm. Dress in Christmas colors. We will have some activities in the lobby for parents and siblings waiting for the program to start.

Miss Case & Ms. Begert's classes got to have a fun filled day at the YMCA as a reward for the classes having the best overall attendance in the school during the 1st quarter! Congratulations classes.
