In order to prepare for Fall Conferences, BHE would like to collect some information from our families. Please note that by completing this short survey you are not signing up for conferences, you are merely indicating your preference as it relates to in-person and virtual conferences. Kindergarten Students Earn Their SOAR Shirts!

Students have worked hard to earn their SOAR shirts! Thank you to the PTO for supporting our SOAR shirts and our school community throughout the year!

Lifetouch School Picture Day - Tuesday, September 19

All students will have their photo taken for the yearbook on Tuesday, September 19th. Paper forms will be coming home with your student the first week of school. You have the option to order online with the following link.

End of Day - Student Pick-Up

As a reminder all students are expected to be picked up by 3:55 pm. Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in students being picked up after 4:00 pm. If students are picked up at after 4:00 pm, we do not have supervision.

Centennial High School Athletic & Activity Events

Cash and/or checks will not be accepted at the door.

Ticket Prices:

Students (1st grade – 12th grade): $5.00

Adults: $8.00

Senior Citizens (65+ with photo ID): FREE**


**Free to regular season home sporting events. This does not include post season games or fine arts and theater reserved seating.

Save the Date - Fall Dance on October 6th

Please join us for our Fall Dance on Friday, October 6th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This dance is free and open to our Blue Heron students and their families. Pizza, snacks, and drinks available for

purchase. Watch for more information and the opportunity to volunteer!

Important Changes to Meal Services

A student’s first breakfast and lunch will be free for all students in the 2023-24 school year. Additional meals or ala carte items will have the following costs associated with them:


Breakfast

  • 1st Lunch (Free)
  • 2nd Lunch ($2.25)
  • 2nd Breakfast Entree Only ($1.25)


Lunch

  • 1st Lunch (Free)
  • 2nd Lunch ($4.95)
  • 2nd Lunch Entree Only ($2.75)


Milk

  • Only Milk or Additional Milk ($.60)


Payment for incremental food service items will be electronic transactions only using a bank or credit card in the parent portal.


  • Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal here or use the App.
  • Food Service information is on the homepage.
  • Select the student you wish to add money to their account.
  • Select “Pay” to add to your cart and complete the payment transaction online.

Blue Heron Elementary Yearbook

It's never too early to start thinking about the yearbook! Order your 2023-2024 yearbook today. The yearbook cost is $18 through September 15th. On September 16th, the price increases to $19. See below for order information.

Make a Difference and Substitute in our Schools!

Don’t miss this chance to get involved and make a difference in the Centennial School District! No experience necessary; training provided!

This is a great opportunity to:

  • Be involved in your child’s education and help out in the schools.
  • Turn your volunteer hours into extra income.
  • Work a schedule that fits with your student’s schedule.

• Substitute Teachers (To qualify, you must have bachelor’s degree with MN Teaching or Substitute License; you can obtain a Short Call License if you have a bachelor’s degree.)

Annual Review and Update of Student Information

Families are required to annually review and update emergency and contact information. The information is now available in your campus portal for review. Click HERE for more information and directions for updating your information. Please login to Parent Portal, review, and update the data on file for you as parent/guardians as well as your students by Friday, September 22, 2023.


Thank you in advance for promptly reviewing and updating this information.

Immunization Documentation Needed

Minnesota law requires children enrolled in childcare, early childhood education, or school to be immunized against certain diseases, unless the child is medically or non-medically exempt. If proper documentation is not provided, students will be unable to attend school after November 1, 2023. What you need to do:

· Contact your health care provider and review your student’s immunization status to make sure they are up to date.

· If you missed a required vaccination, make an appointment with a healthcare provider or local clinic as soon as possible.

· Follow up with your students’ school if they have reached out to you regarding your student’s immunization status.

· Turn in medical (must be signed by health care provider) and non-medical (must be notarized) exemption forms to your child’s school.

Visit the MDH website for vaccine schedules, exemption forms and more information including where to get free/low cost immunizations today. Please reach out to your student’s school for any questions. Please note, K-12 immunization status is available on Campus Parent Portal.

Community Education

Volleyball Intro Skills and Games (gr. 3) Join us for a fun introduction to volleyball. We’ll learn the basics and have fun with skills, drills, and games. Volleyball Intro begins September 21 at Centennial Middle School.


Cougar Soccer Academy (gr. 6-8) This is a great, new opportunity, instructed by CHS Soccer coaching staff, to learn and develop soccer skills and participate in games! Cougar Soccer Academy begins October 29 at Centennial High School.
