Grant Awarded
Congratulations to Kami Faldyn for earning a $5000 Grant for supporting technology needs for high school debate.
Mr. Ramsey - Retirement
Thank you for all your service securing our parking lot Mr. Ramsey. Enjoy your retirement!
Parking Lot Safety
Please be mindful when driving in our back parking lot. We have a lot of traffic dropping off students; picking up students; parking to come to school; and exiting while leaving school.
We have many students and staff members who are walking to and from the building in the parking lot when many of you are driving in it. Please pay attention. Please stay off your phones while driving.
The speed limit in the parking lot is 5mph and we need everyone to slow down for safety.
Thank You!
The THS parent course selection HUB compiles important dates, procedures, presentations, and documents relating to student course selection all in one location.
Links will be updated as new versions are available.
Basics
Course selection window is from January 16-February 5, 2024.
Course selection is online in HAC.
Students must use their student HAC credentials to complete course selection. If you log in as a parent, you will not have access to select courses.
We are using a new four year planning program called Eduthings. This tool will allow students and parents to collaborate throughout high school on a virtual four year plan.
Student Packet
Student course selection packets will be distributed January 16 or 17 during Cougar Block to students in 9th-11th grade.
Counselors
Counselors are available each day at all student lunches.
Counselors will be available during cougar block during the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 2 in the LGI
Cougar block teachers can send students WITH A PASS if they have course selection questions. This is not appropriate for extensive four year planning or simple requests like HAC access.
Parent Meetings
January 10, 2024 Kickoff to Course Selection/ Elective Fair, counselors will have breakout sessions on graduation requirements, course selection, and the dual credit process.
January 17, 2024 Virtual parent meetings at 9:00 and 1:00,

- TISD Service Cord Update - SENIOR DEADLINE APPROACHING: MARCH 1, 2024. TISD has updated the hour requirement for students to earn the TISD Service Cord. Class of 2024 - 120 hours, (update) Class of 2025 and beyond - 160 hours. Students submit all hours through their Student Link (same login as HAC, can also be accessed through HAC by clicking on the Tomball “T”).
- FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) - The 2024-2025 FAFSA us undergoing changes and IS NOW OPEN FOR YOU TO COMPLETE! 🙂. Student and parent(s) need to create their FSA ID prior to completing the 2024-2025 FAFSA. In the past only one parent needed an FSA ID, but with the new changes all parents will need one. It’s quick and easy! All you’ll need is your SSN, cell phone number and/or email address. Click HERE to create the FSA ID. Click HERE for the information from the December 6th event with steps on completing the 2024-2025 FAFSA.
- Senior Financial Aid Requirement: For those who have submitted your FAFSA, please take a screenshot of the home screen when you log in that shows your FAFSA is under review, then upload that screenshot into your Student Link. Due to some of the delays in FAFSA processing, it’s ok if the screenshot doesn’t say “processed”. For the confirmation number, just enter “I don’t know”. For those submitting TASFA, screenshot proof that it was submitted and no confirmation number needed. For those not submitting FAFSA/TASFA (or at least not at this time - the opt out form does not prevent you from applying for financial aid later!), simply log into your Student Link and click the opt out form then follow the instructions. Goad Deadline to Submit Fin Aid Grad Requirement: February 15th.
- LOCAL TOMBALL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SENIORS - Many of them are LIVE! As we hear back from scholarship donors more will be added to the list through January. Click HERE for all the information. Helpful Tip: For financial information on the TISD Local Scholarship Application, if the student has NOT received their SAI information back from FAFSA, please complete the Financial Aid Estimator (option 2 in the TISD Local Scholarship application instructions) to use for that section of the application.
- Student taking Dual Credit for the FIRST TIME in 2024-2025 - All NEW FIRST TIME dual credit students will be required to attend a mandatory meeting (sign-up required). Students need their LSC ID number to sign-up for a meeting. To sign-up for a meeting, STUDENTS can join the Schoology course (parents will be able to view the content once the student joins). STUDENT JOIN CODE: NXSR-FQSM-WQMVF. It is recommended to not procrastinate in this process as there will be deadlines. Deadline to have application completed to LSC: February 15, 2024.
- CURRENTLY ENROLLED 2023-2024 Dual Credit Students - Please be sure to turn in two copies of the registration form by February 15th. Forms can be submitted to Mrs. Nichols in room 1359 or if you’re taking English 3 DC you can submit yours to Mr. Nimon.
