Texas 4th Graders scored in the top 25% in Math according to NAEP Results Nationwide
The U.S. Department of Education’s National Assessment of Educational Progress, or NAEP, is given to fourth- and eighth-grade students across the country every other year. Comparisons are then made of the results among states and U.S. territories, as well as among 27 of the country’s largest school districts.

Great things are happening in Texas public schools! Here is just one example:
Dear Friends,
What an awesome Gala we had in Waco last Wednesday evening. Over 400 people attended as we honored individuals who have made a difference in Texas public schools. To see where Friends has grown from the vision of Leslie and Scott Milder to where it is today, is nothing short of amazing! Thank you to everyone that has helped make Friends one of the outstanding organizations in our state that advocates for the 5.4 million children in Texas public schools.
As the Holiday Season is upon us, all of us at Friends hope that everyone will have a safe and happy season.
