IMPLEMENTATION OF OUR NEW STRATEGIC PLAN
Sycamore Community Schools is currently engaged in the first year of implementation of our new strategic plan to empower all learners to reach their full potential in a globally competitive world. An important goal of this plan is to enhance academic achievement.
To support this goal, the district has partnered with Education Elements to conduct a thorough curriculum review to gain an understanding of current curriculum resources and how those resources impact instruction and student learning. The complete curriculum review will provide information regarding alignment and identify areas of need and growth.
We would like to invite families to join us to learn more about the curriculum review and its findings. These virtual, informational sessions will be led by representatives from Education Elements.
Virtual sessions will be held:
November 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. https://edelements.zoom.us/j/99368818621
November 5 from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. https://edelements.zoom.us/j/99368818621
Sessions will be recorded and viewed after the session. The recording of sessions will be available on the district website.
Montgomery Elementary is Hosting a Virtual Book Fair!
Explore our online book fair and help your child find their next favorite book. There are hundreds of books to choose from for kids from prekindergarten through middle school. So, shop for the whole family! These are not eBooks. These are real books that your children love to read. The books are primarily paperback (80% paperback, 20% hardcover). There are books to fit every budget - with some as low as $2.
Books will be delivered directly to your home within 10-12 business days.
Orders of $25 or more qualify for FREE shipping!
Thank you for supporting our school through your participation!.

P.S. Our teachers have created “wish lists” for their classroom library. You can access specific teacher’s wish lists by clicking on the stars on the left hand side of the web page. Have these books shipped to home and your child can hand deliver it to the teacher as a donation.
Orders are due by: November 5

Please let me know if you have any questions about the program or have any concerns throughout the school year.
Sincerely,
