November Wellness Tip
Self-care is so important to your mental and physical well-being. Make sure you are taking a few moments each day to do something for yourself. This can be exercising, reading, taking a bath, enjoying some time alone, or taking your prescribed medications. There is no set way to maintain self-care, just pick something that you enjoy doing and schedule 10 minutes a day to do it.
Getting into the holiday spirit is a great way to combat the stress of the holidays. Simply enjoying the company of friends, family and good company is a great way to unwind and lift our spirits. Take some time to decorate your surroundings and enjoy the surrounding festivities in the community. Being around people is a great way to de-stress.
Practice exercising your healthy boundaries by not agreeing to things you do not truly want to do or adding too much to your plate is a surefire way to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. Often we want to do things for others or take on things that we really can't take on because we love or care for people. Setting limits and boundaries and how much you do is an important step to maintaining a positive and peaceful holiday season.
Don't overspend this year. Some of the most stressful situations during the holidays are overspending and over gifting. Your loved ones know you love them. You don't need to max out the credit card or clear your savings to show you care. Often times the gift of something homemade and from the heart are the most cherished gifts you can give.
Create new traditions if your old traditions bring up grief and sadness over a loved one that's no longer with you. Doing something new or different can help with not comparing this holiday with holidays of the past. You may consider honoring your loved ones by sharing their favorite recipe or doing something they loved to do around the holidays.

Life Coach vs. Therapist: What's The Difference?
When seeking professional help for support, growth, and well-being, we often default to a seek out a therapist. However, have you ever considered a life coach instead?
The biggest difference between therapy and life coaching is the focus of the work. Life coaches focus on setting and achieving goals and life changes. Therapists focus on mental and emotional health and healing.
So, how do know which one to see?
If you are struggling with mental health issues, trauma, or need emotional healing, a therapist is a right choice. A life coach does not diagnose or treat mental health concerns.
If you want to get "unstuck", set and achieve life goals, create growth, life change, or improve your relationships, then a life coach is a great choice!
