I want to personally invite you to be a part of our Great American Teach In on November 15th. This is a great day to share with your child’s class your profession, trade, or even your career from which you retired. Our society is changing, and many kids have social media driving their future goals. I believe it’s critical for our generation to expose boys and girls to pathways that we will need for our future success. We need mechanics, plumbers, managers, fire men and women, paramedics, doctors, nurses, delivery drivers, post office employees, technical jobs and we need to share that with our children, so we shape their goals and future ambitions. Please call Mrs. Hemby at 727-774-4502 so you can arrange a time with her to come speak. It can be just a 30-minute visit with only your child’s class. We need you to share and plant future seeds! Thank you and hope to see you soon.

Staff in the Spotlight
Cypress has the best school counselor, Mrs. Amy Kae! She supports our entire school with their overall well-being! We can count on her for a smile, a hug, wise words on how to resolve conflicts, and most importantly spreading positivity everywhere she goes. Mrs. Kae is a popular request by boys and girls that are in need of her special counselor magic. She is super creative and loves to start new initiatives that benefit children. We thank her for everything she does and all the lives she touches with her warmth! Cypress is lucky to have you Mrs. Kae!

Great American Teach-In
The Great American Teach-In is a special event dedicated to
exposing students across the nation to wonderful and exciting career choices. This is an opportunity to inspire young minds and encourage tomorrow’s work force.
We are inviting parents and friends in the community to give 10 – 20 minutes to come in and talk to your child’s class about your job or hobby. During the day we schedule other fun speakers and presentations for our students to visit, as well.
House Bill 1069 states that Principals share that there is a process to object to books in the school library as well as object to instructional materials being used in classrooms. If you are concerned over any of the materials, please schedule a conference with your child’s teacher so they can share the intent behind the curriculum or text. If you are still not satisfied, then a conference with school administration will be made to discuss next steps.
