Teacher Spotlight
Ms. Wiggins - 6th Grade Math
My name is Madison Wiggins, and this is my first year at WFMS. This will be my fifth year of teaching 6th grade math. My mom and my grandma were both math teachers, so I have always wanted to be a teacher too! I attended UT Tyler to play volleyball for my first two years. I then transferred to Sam Houston State University to study 4th-8th math. Next June, I will get to marry my high school sweetheart! We have one dog, Maci, we love the Astros and we both love to travel. We try to travel somewhere new at least once a year! In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out and spending time with family ,friends and my adorable niece! I am so blessed with the best math team here and the best students. It’s going to be a great year (:
Lindsay Barricks - 7th/8th Grade Theatre
Hi! My name is Lindsey Barricks and this is my second year as the theatre director at WFMS. However, this is my fifth year teaching in total. I have always had a passion for theatre and was heavily involved in theatre when I was a student in grade school and college. My parents always supported my passion for the fine arts and this helped me in deciding to pursue a career in theatre education. I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and I also graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2022 with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In November, my husband, Casey, and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. I also have a beautiful step daughter, Kaisley, who is four years old. We enjoy traveling and spending time with each other. I also love to spend time with my family and friends. I am very excited to be a part of WFMS again this year and hope to continue building a strong theatrical program for years to come!
