One of the greatest things I discovered during last year's Open Enrollment is the awesomeness of Telemedicine. It is quick & simple AND it saves time & money. The co-payment for Aetna HMO and Highmark Comprehensive plans are $0! Aetna Gold and Highmark First Basic offer this service for a small co-insurance fee.

Quick Overview - If an employee can’t get a quick appointment with your Primary Care Provider (PCP), consider using telemedicine. Telemedicine is a service that allows an employee to have an online video consultation with a doctor at home or on the go, by using a computer, tablet or smartphone. Employees can use telemedicine services and speak with a doctor to receive a diagnosis and get recommended treatment for minor illnesses. The doctor can even prescribe medications when appropriate.
