Highlighting community leaders serving on Capital Improvement Authority - Lyndsey Baxter, Jason Cole, Mike Edwards, Laurie Gehrt, Mary Lou Greim, Mayor Mark Spohn, & Stephen Stubbs. Thank you for your leadership in considering the best allocations from the Capital Improvement & Transportation Trust Sales Tax Funds for community investments.

• Hospital Board of Trustees will consider reports from CEO, CNO, CFO, Emergency Department presentation, policy review & approval, CMS Survey responsibilities & discussion, Health Care Foundation golf tournament

• Parks & Recreation will consider reports on finances, staff, director, 2022 Annual Report, church land lease, election of officers

• There has been an increase in vandalism in parks & around town compared to recent years. Pride can be contagious, let's make ours worth catching. We can do better.
• Progress at the pool this week has been good. The parking lot will reopen soon, next up is the final deck pour, river rock will be placed under the slide, plants & trees have been delivered to start the landscaping, when the plaster & tile begins, water will start to flow. The pool will hold 300,000 gallons of water
• The annual street overlay project is out to bid. Route N, H & Cherry Hills will be improved this summer. bids are due 6/12
• Lots of summer events at the Community Center are planned - tennis camp, toddler swim, kids in the kitchen, speed & agility camp, Bingo Nights just to name a few. Look for information on the Community Center website.

Mayor Spohn was recently quoted saying "essentially the role of the mayor of ES is to act as the ambassador of ES." Spohn explained it takes enthusiasm & the ability to connect with individuals in & around ES to be successful. His strategy & mindset are to see young leadership come to the forefront & begin to take on new roles within the community.
