Grade Cards-- went out YESTERDAY
You have 4 ways to view your student's grade card--
- Check your email. Today, you received an email from Maryville Virtual School <noreply@maryville-schools.org> with the grade card as an attachment. Click on the link at the bottom of the email. On a phone, it should just open. On a computer, it should download as a file in the bottom left corner. If you do not see this email, please check your Clutter and make sure that the address above is not blocked or on your Junk Mail list. If you have multiple students at MVS, sometimes the first grade card email goes through, and the second email is marked as Clutter by your email system.
- Login to your parent PowerSchool account on a computer. Your student’s Q3 Report Card is saved with in PowerSchool and can be viewed using the account you created for yourself. Go to https://ps.maryvillecityschools.k12.tn.us/public and login. Click on Student Reports on the left menu bar and click on the Archived Report called 22-23 Q3 Report Card.
- Ask your student to login to PowerSchool on their laptop. Students can also access their grade card through their PowerSchool login. Students access PowerSchool by going to Login, logging into ClassLink, and clicking on PowerSchool- Students. Click on Student Reports on the left menu bar and click on the Archived Report called 22-23 Q3 Report Card.
- Ask your student to check their email. Your student was also emailed the grade card. They can follow the directions above to open and view it, as well.
Registration for 23-24 Classes- Coming Soon!
We will start registering for next year's class very soon. High Schoolers--Be looking for an email next week to choose classes for next year. Note: If you are wanting to transfer back to your zoned on-site school for the 23-24 school year, in May, you will come in to MVS and complete the transfer paperwork and then register with your on-site school.
Reminders---
Spring Testing Schedule
April 17 through May 12 is testing season! Students in grades 2, 7-12 will be taking TCAPs, EOC, and SDC tests here at MVS. Students in grades 4-6 will be taking TCAPs at Coulter Grove Intermediate School. AP tests will be taken at either Maryville High School or Maryville Junior High School. Please click the below button to see the schedule. All testing sessions are half-days. After break, we will send out exact times for all sessions.
Weekly Progress Reports by Email
Each week, we will be sending out a weekly progress report with current grades and attendance. This is the same information you can get by logging into the PowerSchool parent portal, but hopefully it will just be a simple reminder of your child's progress. If you want to see specific assignment grades, you may still login to PowerSchool. If you have a question about a grade or have an attendance question, please reach out to the teacher via email.
Cell Phone Policy
We are instituting a new cell phone policy for students who are invited in to MVS to work on assignments or to take assessments. Students may bring their cell phones with them to MVS, but cell phones need to stay stowed away out of site in back backs or pockets. Any exceptions to this will be handled by the teacher in the room, which could include contacting a parent for pick up or listen to music through headphones while working (unless the work is something that needs to be listened to). Students who do not follow this policy will be asked to place their phone the teacher's desk or to work from home.
