November 17th, 2023
Hello Edgewood Families,
A busy season is upon us! Seasons are changing, routines are fluctuating with winter holidays, days off, and shortened day schedules. This can be challenging for our young learners, as routines are so important in helping them to feel secure in knowing what to expect.
You can support at home by developing predictable routines for parts of the day, especially times that can remain consistent whether it is a school day or a home day. For example, having your child follow the same morning routine (wake up, eat breakfast, get dressed, brush teeth) whether a home or school day. This can also make a big difference in developing student independence.
Please reach out if you need any support in developing routines at home. We are happy to help!
In Partnership,
Courtney Sugarman
