With the exciting news of the Tournament of Roses invitation for next year, we will be offering fundraising opportunities that will begin at the parent meeting this coming Wednesday. We will re-introduce the Raise Right program and offer a World's Finest Chocolate bar fundraiser. We will also be raffling off a fully paid trip to Tournament of Roses. Please read the specifics for each fundraiser below.
World's Finest Chocolate:
This will be an optional IFA (Individual Family Account) fundraiser. IFA fundraisers allow you to raise money that will be deposited into your family account which is maintained by the music booster groups. These funds can then be used to pay for required fees (ex. LWMB participation fees) as well as fees for travel (ex. Tournament of Roses trip payments). If you would like to participate in the World's Finest fundraiser, you can purchase candy boxes via credit card before or after the meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Candy is $60 per box. Families will pay upfront and keep the cash that is collected from selling the candy bars. $27 per box will be deposited into your child's IFA account to be used for fees or travel payments. This fundraiser will be ongoing, so it is possible to get more boxes in the future if desired. Specific details will be available at a later date in regards to getting additional boxes of candy.
Tournament of Roses Trip Raffle:
At the meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 8, we will also be selling raffle tickets for ONE LWMB member trip or ONE Fan Package trip to the Tournament of Roses Parade. Each raffle ticket is $25. Raffle tickets can be purchased via credit card before or after the meeting on November 8.
Added incentives:
*For every raffle ticket purchased on Wednesday, November 8, you will receive an extra raffle entry for free.
*For every raffle ticket purchased on Wednesday, November 8, your child will receive $5 in their IFA account.
*If you purchase a raffle ticket on November 8 AND register for the trip by December 1, you will receive one additional raffle entry for free.The winning ticket will be drawn in the spring. There will be additional opportunities to purchase raffle tickets in the months ahead, but the incentives are only valid for the dates listed above.
Raise Right:
Raise Right is an ongoing IFA fundraiser. Families can purchase gift cards to be used at area businesses and receive a certain percentage deposited into their IFA per gift card. Raise Right is a great program because it can be used for your everyday shopping or for gifts for the upcoming holiday season. This is an ongoing fundraiser and depending on your shopping habits, you have the potential to raise hundreds of dollars to help with LWMB expenses or ToR travel expenses.
