This year at the jog-a-thon...Shamrock Smoothies + Coffee Cart

In your child's "Friday folder" you will find an order form for special Grant Jog-a-Thon Strawberry Shamrock Smoothies! Your child can have one delivered to his/her classroom after they complete their jog-a-thon run. What a refreshing and healthy treat for all their hard work! Order forms along with payment is due back to your child's teacher or the "smoothie basket" in the office by October 11th. Smoothies must be pre-ordered as we will not be selling them on the day of. Please include cash or a check made out to "Grant Elementary 6th Grade Fund" with your order. Each smoothie is $3 and extra order forms can be found in the office. In addition for you parents on jog-a-thon day, October 14th, we will have a coffee cart along with yummy breakfast treats, no need to pre-order these items, just bring a few bucks as all items are $1 each.

Looking to clear out some extra room?? Grant is starting a creation station at Lunch times. We are looking for anything students can use to create with Legos, craft supplies, glue, markers, papers, feathers, buttons, ribbons, glitter, toilet paper rolls, cans, etc.

Please bring items to the office.

Help with the Garden Club on Wednesdays! Typical actives include cleaning up garden spaces, sharing garden snacks and planting new veggies. Meet at Ms. Megna's room at 11:55am for a list of the days activities, help in the garden and then head home at 12:45 after dismissal. It’s a great way to spend time with your student while promoting environmental stewardship. Come once or come every week! Contact ldecota@gmail.com with any questions.

Thanks to our generous community, the Grant library is amazing! Now, we have a chance to help other schools in town increase their book selections. For the month of October, you can pare down your bookshelf at home and pass on gently used, current books that your child has outgrown. Grant's librarian will donate these books on your behalf to local schools in need. Book donations can be left on the shelves in the Grant school office! Thank you for helping Grant make sure that even more Petaluma kids have access to great books.
