DID YOU KNOW? ¿LO SABÍA?
Greetings Lenox Families/Saludos Familias Lenox
It was great to see so many families in-person and online during conferences! Students have so much to be proud of and we are looking forward to the continued learning ahead. Thank you for sharing your amazing scholars with us each and every day.
Last Spring we were awarded a Hillsboro Schools Foundation Grant focused on increasing visual representation of our beautifully diverse community. Thank you to those families who who have stopped by the front entrance to view and/or add a flag pin on the map to represent your heritage, country, or land. This summer we had a chance to order flags to represent the selected countries - check out the display in our gym and be sure to add a flag to the map if you haven't already the next time you visit.
Check out our instagram - hsdlenox and;
our website - https://www.hsd.k12.or.us/lenox for the latest happenings as well.
Thank you again for sharing your children with us!
In partnership,
Sarah Keller

News & Notes
Crosswalk & General Safety Reminders
- The main bus loop is closed to cars before 7:45am and from 1:30-2:30pm each day. Busses are arriving and leaving and need clearance to leave the driveways.
- Always use a crosswalk including the one in the parking lot so that one of our crossing guards can cross you and your students safely.
- With the colder weather comes the possibility of ice. Please use caution in parking lots and at crosswalks.
Medication
If your student(s) needs to take any medication during school hours including inhalers, pain relievers, etc., a medication authorization form must be completed. Call the office if you have any questions or need support. Check out this quick reference for more details HERE.
Attendance & Tardies
9 or less is best! Regular, on-time attendance is essential to students’ education and our goal is that students miss 9 days or less during a school year. If your student will not be attending school, please call our attendance line at 503-844-1363, and be sure to share the reason for the absence. Class starts promptly at 7:45 - if a student arrives at or after 7:45 they need to stop by the front office to check in and grab a tardy pass
Change in Go Home Plans: If you have changes to the way your child is getting home - please call the office the day prior or by 1:00pm the day of so that we can ensure a smooth transition for your child at dismissal time. If you email the classroom teacher, they will likely not see it until students have left for the day.
Lost & Found
We have many jackets, hats, gloves, and water bottles in our lost and found looking for their owners. Please have your student stop by and check to see if one of their items is there. We highly encourage that students names/initials are in jackets in case there is a duplicate.
