FAC Weekly Update
September 30, 2023
Good Afternoon, FAC Family
Another great week is in the books at the FAC, capped off by a fabulous College Day event on Friday afternoon! Many thanks to Gloria Collins, FAC School Counselor, for organizing every detail of College Day. We are grateful to each and every person at the FAC for the role they played in making this experience possible - the FAC Office Staff, Security Personnel, Theatre Design & Production Students, Cece Disharoon, the Department Chairs, Student Ambassadors, FAC Faculty, and Custodians. It takes a village, and we are proud of what we accomplish together!
Here's the latest from the halls of the FAC...
This Week's Student Leadership Lesson
Continuing to Learn - from Creativity, Inc.
"We begin life, as children, being open to the ideas of others because we need to be open to learn. Most of what children encounter, after all, are things we've never seen before. The child has no choice but to embrace the new. If this openness is so wonderful, why do we lose it as we grow up? Where, along the way, do we turn from the wide-eyed child into the adult who fears surprises and has all the answers and seeks to control all outcomes?"
Ed Catmull with Amy Wallace; Creativity, Inc. - Overcoming the Unseen Forces that Stand in the Way of True Inspiration; Chapter 10, page 221.
