Sea Cadet Achievement
We are delighted to share that Bodie, Year 10, was very proud to be awarded The Bromham Seamanship Bowl at a prize giving ceremony of the Twickenham Sea Cadet Corps this weekend. His certificate was awarded by his unit CO Martyn Mayger, who is also a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy.
The event was well attended including VIPs such as the Head of the National Sea Cadet Corps and a visiting Admiral from the Royal Navy.
The Twickenham Sea Cadet unit welcomes new recruits from the local area aged 10-18 years old, Bodie's family highly recommend the organisation for the fun and challenges all the young people enjoy, and the care and attention they receive.
What a wonderful achievement - well done Bodie.
Houses of Parliament
Last week the Year 10 Citizenship Group attended the Houses of Parliament. The students were really well behaved and participated in all the activities with great readiness and confidence.
Big shout out to Gino who was elected Prime Minister on that day! He was debating whether 'Exams should be banned in schools'. On the other side we had George M. as the opposition leader debating against the new proposed law in action.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the trip - they all stood in the House of Commons and stood behind the bench where the Prime Minister sits.
Jasmin - "I think it was a really good experience for us as we got to see what the Houses of Parliament looked like inside. I never thought I'd ever get the chance to see it."
Issy - "My favorite experience of the trip was when I saw all the historical paintings of all the Kings and Queens of England'.
Gino - "I really enjoyed this experience as I felt confident in delivering a speech for the first time."
