Band Buzz: October 29, 2023

It was a thrilling halftime show this past weekend. Looking forward to what fresh material we have for our last performance. But just because marching season is closed doesn't mean the activities stop. Plenty of events on the horizon including fundraisers, band tours, and more. Keep reading and keep up!

Football Game Chaperones

One more game, one more opportunity to be part of HAT! Please look for a separate email from the lead Chaperone Sherry Curran for volunteering with our fabulous band and color guard.

Again this week, there will be no rehearsal Monday-Wednesday. Please catch up on homework, region band practice, and family time! We will have one rehearsal this week on Thursday to prepare for our final football game vs Brazoswood. If students are not in attendance for our only rehearsal this week, they will not be allowed to perform at the game. This week is also Senior Recognition during pregame ceremonies. Please be on the lookout for some more details as we get closer to the game.

Thursday night at 7:00 is our monthly Falcon Band Booster Club meeting. Please join us in the band hall!

Friday we have black out pep rally. Students are encouraged to bring items and clothes that glow under a black light for the pep rally.

Monday November 6 will be picture day! All students will need to bring their uniforms for the pictures which will be taken during classes that day. Pictures sets can be purchased and we will send out more information as we receive it. All students will take their photos for the big annual composite photo that we display in the practice room hallway.

Get into the Holiday Spirit with dazzling Poinsettias, amazing Christmas cacti, and beautiful Norfolk pines.

Not only is this a fund raiser, but the plants also line the stage for our Holiday concert making a gorgeous display for our students and their Holiday music. Plants will be picked up after the concert on Tuesday, December 12th. Plants are $15 each and are fully dressed and ready to gift.

For every 5 plants sold, the student will have their name entered for a $50 Visa gift card!

Picture day (Monday, November 6) is the last time the kids will need their marching uniforms for the year. The kids should bring their full uniforms (bibbers, long-sleeve top, and shako) to school on picture day, and turn in the bibbers and shako after they have their picture made in class (the long-sleeve top and shako wrap is theirs to keep). The bibbers must be clean when they are turned in after pictures, so please make sure everything gets washed after the last football game on November 3rd.
