February 2023
Dear Rainiers,
Happy February!
Thank you to all of the families who attended our Family Reading Night last month. Seeing students with their families engage in a variety of reading activities was heartwarming. We hope you plan to attend our Math Family Night this spring on April 6th. More information will be released as we get closer.
Students are hard at work as we approach the end of the semester on February 7th. There will be an early dismissal that day to allow teachers time to work on report cards. There are so many exciting activities happening this month from an Italian Soda Sale, dressing up as 100 year olds on the 100th Day of School, Winter Formal Dance for our middle school students to a relaunch of a program for our middle school students to attend a fun end of the month event if they are "In Good Standing".
Another important event in February includes the recognition of our dynamic counselor, Ms. Noble-Perry. We are so fortunate to have a counselor who goes way above her traditional duties to ensure students are served to the fullest potential. Recently, Ms. Noble-Perry taught a middle school math lesson to teach students how to calculate their own GPA. This lesson was well received and very informative as students were crunching numbers to see where they are at as the semester end nears. Information about all of the events occuring can be found in this newsletter.
Enjoy the new month.
Kind Regards,
Principal Burslem
