Level Up with PRIDE - Week #7🎮
Greetings, STEAM Family!
This week presents another opportunity for the dynamic students and staff of SDE to ‘LEVEL UP’ with P.R.I.D.E. in all areas. As a brief reminder, we will host Fall Picture Day on this Wednesday, September 20th. For information regarding packages and pricing, please be sure to review the detailed flyers that have been sent home with your child. You may also review the flyer featured below.
In Dublin City Schools, we believe a safe, secure, flexible, and loving environment promotes positive learning communities for academic achievement, personal growth, and emotional well-being. With this being said, we are pleased to inform you that today’s district-wide Intruder Alert Drill was executed efficiently and effectively. While experiences such as today's drill always provide an opportunity for us as a school and district to self-assess to determine what worked well, as well as in what areas can we improve, overall, our students and staff did an outstanding job of implementing what they have been taught in the event of an emergency situation. While today's drill was announced, we also look forward to implementing additional non-announced drills in the future. As a conversation piece, we encourage you to ask your child to reflect with you on his/her thoughts and/or feelings regarding today’s drill.
As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's homeroom teacher and/or our administrative team at (478) 353-8250. Let's "Level Up" with another fantastic week!

Important Updates for Parents
Daily Reminders for SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
