Your Weekly Update from Johnson Elementary School

Update From Physical Education Class
PE Update
I have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of your children over the past 6 weeks of school. I can’t wait to get to know their personalities more throughout the school year!
Over the last few weeks of school, we have focused on cooperative games, warm up activities, fitness testing, and the rules/expectations for PE this year. Ask your kids which activity has been their favorite so far from the list below.
Cooperative Games:
- River Walk
- Toe Tag
Fitness Testing
- Pacer Test (4th ONLY)
Warm-Up Activities:
- Everybody’s It Tag
- Plank Air Hockey
- Tower Knockdown
- Leg Warm-up
- Sharks & Minnows
Over the next few weeks, we will be finishing up our Soccer Unit and then starting our Throwing Unit with a few holiday games sprinkled in for a little extra fun. It’s Elementary PE so teaching ALL my students that being active can be FUN is my main goal!!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me!
Thank you,
Kelli Thompson
