Get your running shoes ready, the Panther Fun Run is coming up on Friday, Feb. 23! Kids will run laps during P.E. and raise money for De Portola’s enrichment and fun activities. Our goal is to raise $20,000. Funds raised will support field trips, our beautiful garden, classroom items, assemblies, school dances, and promotion activities. Can you help us reach our goal?
Ask friends, family, and co-workers for pledges! It’s easy to get started, just set up your personal fundraising webpage at www.pledgestar.com/deportola.
If you are interested in blasting children with water guns on the day of the Panther Pride Run, please plan on attending during your student's PE class.
Check out this video ad produced by ASB. Let’s do this Panthers! The De Portola Foundation appreciates your support!
Next prize distribution starts TUESDAY February 20, 2024 for all students who have earned $50 in prizes and Thursday is the full-size candy bar giveaway for all students who earned $100.
Black History Month Celebration
We are excited to announce a Black History Month Celebration on February 26, 2024. 7th graders will attend an oral storytelling performance from Black Story Tellers of San Diego (BSSD). During lunch, all students will see the performance from the Teye Sa Thiosanne West African Drum & Dance Troupe https://teyesathiosanne.org/Welcome.html. It should be a great celebration of West African culture.
