Updates and News
MES Spirit T-Shirts Update
This year we will continue to show our MES Pride with different color t-shirts for each grade. Don't forget to wear your t-shirt the last Friday of every month and to special school events, including the Ice Cream Social on 9/6!
We are making some adjustments to the color by grade so that we will match with our friends at Bethlehem Elementary when we have region-wide events! Our new colors this year will be:
Pre-K - Light Blue
Kindergarten - Red
1st Grade - Orange
2nd Grade - Yellow
3rd Grade - Green
4th Grade - Royal Blue
5th Grade - Purple
As a result, the MES PTO will be purchasing new t-shirts for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 5th Grade. If you have a student entering one of these grades, t-shirts will be sent home shortly after school begins. All other students can use their same t-shirt from last year!
Need a new shirt for your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grader? You can purchase a new one here:
Attendance, Arrival and Dismissal
Attendance form to fill out – to save time and paper, you can now complete your child’s absent note through a google form. Follow the link included here and it will be posted on the website as well to complete.
Pre-K student hours are 9:00 am -3:00 pm. All Pre-K students will arrive and be dismissed at the far cafe doors. Signs will be posted on the doors.
Any changes in dismissal must be received in writing or email by 12:00 pm. Any such requests should be emailed to cwinter@ctreg14.org and your child’s teacher with the subject line “Change in dismissal for students on (date)”. Please make sure to clearly note the date.
Early dismissal from the office ends at 2:50 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, and 2:20 pm on Wednesdays. This is for the safety of all students as we are preparing for dismissal after that time. If you are picking up after those times you will need to go to the gym doors and pick up your child with the regular parent dismissals.
FINALLY
Just in closing I want to say I hope I see everyone at the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday!! We have a really big surprise for everyone that will be unveiled at 4:25!!
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
