Dear Hawley Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Staff,
Cruisin' thru January. We had our Terrific Whole-School Gathering and Kindness Assembly, gave midyear assessments, and held a Concert.
Buckle up, stay seated, and keep your hands and feet in the car at all times, as you read on to find out What's Happening at Hawley .....
~ Kindness Assembly ~
Kindness Month centered around the book, The Big Umbrella, which was all about inclusion and making room for everyone. Each grade level shared some ways they include others and led us in a kindness song...

The new issue is Apple Watches. Students are downloading videos, texting and/or taking pictures of others. These are all against Board of Education Policy. Students at our level also do not really understand the ramifications of this behavior.
Please keep these devices at home. If found, we will have to take them for you to come pick up at your convenience. Thank you for your understanding.
Important Reminders / General Info
- Save the Date: The Superintendent will be joining our next PTA Meeting to review his budget for next school year and to answer questions. It will be on Thursday, 2/9, 4:30 in the Reed Library.
- Registration is open for Kindergarten next year.
- Since we are in 2 buildings that students are unfamiliar, and with the end of the day being very busy, we ask that no students be picked up between 3:00-3:25 PM.
- If you are wondering..... ASK!
Dates to Remember
- Thurs, 2/9: PTA Meeting, 4:30, Reed Library
- Fri, 2/17: 3-Hr Early Release Day
- Mon-Tues, 2/20-2/21: No School, Presidents Day/Winter Recess
The PTA is planning for some Fun Family Events in February & March. As dates become finalized, they will be shared.
