We kicked off Catholic Schools Week at Masses this past weekend. We have many exciting events planned for this weeklong celebration! Be sure to check your email for all the details!

This year, in light of COVID-19, we are only able to offer private tours by appointment. Our Open House to invite interested new families to visit our wonderful school will be held today, Tuesday, February 1st between the hours of 3 - 6pm. We appreciate that our families are the best ambassadors for FAW and your word of mouth about our school is the best PR we have! Please help us get the word out about our Open House to all prospective families and friends! The annual Brown Bag Auction is going on now! The fun, themed baskets are set up in the gym for the kids to view. Tickets are on sale, $1 for 1 ticket or $20 for 25 tickets. Look for the envelopes that were sent home yesterday to send in money for your kids to have a chance to win these baskets. Refer to the email sent out on Monday, January 31st for more details. Our annual Italian Dinner will be held this Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 4-7pm as a drive-thru event. ll are invited! The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 4-12, and free for 3 and under. This includes delicious spaghetti, homemade meatballs, garlic bread, bottled water, and dessert. Please see the flyer for more details!

• There are 15 jobs/slots still needing to be filled for our drive-thru event to be a success! If you are a service scholarship family, kindly remember this is one of the three big events that are required this year. Each year ten local Catholic school teachers of the Archdiocese of Washington are honored as Golden Apple Award winners. This quarter, some of our middle school students are operating a school store. They are learning how to take inventory, markup items for profit, and manage the ins and outs of a business. The school store will be open every Wednesday during their elective class time. Items cost anywhere from 25 cents to $8. Please encourage your children to visit the school store! Kindly send in an envelope with money, marked with your child’s name and “School Store” so the middle schoolers know who to expect this week.

Do you have an announcement you’d like to put in our weekly bulletin? Or perhaps you went to a FAW event and you’d like to share some information. We have created an email where you can send pictures, blurbs, etc. This will help us get new items in our bulletin, on our lobby TV, and on our website. Concerned about credit card skimming at the gas pump? Use a gift card to avoid risking exposure of your credit card number. We carry Wawa, Shell and Sheetz in stock. Shell and Sheetz cards are reloadable right from your phone! We also carry BJs cards which can be used at the BJ's gas pump as well. All of our gas cards can be ordered in $100 increments as well as our usual $25.

As you may know, Father Andrew White School has an Annual Giving Campaign, where we reach out to families, alumni, and local parishioners to raise funds for the school. This year, we are raising funds to "Pave the Way for Kids to Play" as we transition the rear parking lot into an enjoyable recess area for our students. A letter will be sent home in the coming weeks. Thank you for prayerfully considering donating to this important fund that directly benefits our children.

We continue to participate in the Virtues in Practice program this year. Each month, the whole school focuses on the same virtue as they hope to grow closer to Jesus by imitating His life and virtues. We also learn more about the saints who exemplify these good habits. This month students and their families are learning about the virtue of honesty. Please join them during the month of February by modeling how you are trustworthy and true.

Our Annual Spring Social and Auction is March 26th! Be on the lookout for more details soon!
