December 2023
Central Elementary School
We need your help!
- Please make sure your kids have their snow gear at school, we go outside and play every day all winter long.
- Please put a change of clothes in your child's back pack for just in case situations. We have a lot of milk spills, puddles and bathroom accidents and we are running out of clothes to change kids into.
- If you have elastic waisted pants or shorts your child has outgrown we would appreciate the donation. Or if you would like to donate new under ware or socks we could certainly use those too.
Winter Coats And Boots
We have a large donation of new winter coats and boots. Please let us know if your student still needs these items and we will get them fitted and ready for the cold weather.

Hungry Howie's
Thank you to everyone who ordered pizza from Hungry Howie's. We raised $382.62!!! An extra big thank you to everyone from Mrs. Riekena's class who ordered. Her class had the most orders and won a classroom pizza party.
Our next fundraiser night is Monday, December 18th.
Skate Club
Skate Club is coming back to a hallway near you! Mr. Bagley is planning to send out some dates soon. We have had a number of inline skates of various sizes donated in the past few months, as well as helmets (which are required at skate club). If your child would like to participate but does not have skates, check with me to see if we have a pair to borrow. We are also looking to get the helmets to the kids who need one.
Remember, skate club is free, but a participation / liability form has to be filled out on the first skate club your child comes to each year. Thanks!

Coat Zipping Club
Who: Kindergarten and 1st graders
What: To learn how to zip their own coat
Why: To help them become independent
We are starting our Coat Zipping Club again this year and want to encourage every kindergartener and 1st grader to become independent with zipping their own coat. You can help by practicing this skill with them at home too.
Shoe Tying Club
Who: 2nd and 3rd graders
What: To learn how to tie their own shoes
Why: To help them become independent
We have added a Shoe Tying Club this year. We are hoping every 2nd and 3rd grader will be practicing tying their shoes at home too. There are many ways to teach a kid how to tie their shoes. The video below is just one option that may help.
