Hello Boggess Bengals,

What a busy week we have had at Boggess! Our students and staff have been working hard as we begin our 2nd semester. We are so proud of the growth we are seeing.

We truly enjoyed the MLK Celebration last night. We loved seeing and hearing our Boggess Bengals in performances. Congratulations to Taylor N. who was the 5th grade finalist in in the Writing Category. Ember B., Natasha, and Reagan M. sang beautifully with the Plano Choral Choir. We were honored to celebrate all of the PTA Reflections Contest Winners and participants this week on our BBN. These students worked so hard and created wonderful projects. What a creative group of students!

We welcome all of you to our PTA General Meeting and Parent Program on Thursday January 26th beginning at 6:00. Parent program information is below.

Please remember that a student with any of the following symptoms will be excluded from school until such time as the student is free of symptoms, has been satisfactorily treated, or submits a signed physician’s statement that he/she is not contagious.

• Temperature of 100.0 degrees or more. Student must be fever free for 24 hours, without medication, before re-entry.
• Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Student must be symptom free for 24 hours without medication before re-entry.
• Pain and/or swelling at angle of jaw.
• Undetermined rash over any part of the body.
• Undiagnosed scaly patches on the body or scalp.
• Red, draining eyes.
• Intense itching with signs and symptoms of secondary infection.
• Open, draining lesions.
• Jaundice

We love our volunteers at Boggess. All volunteers will need to create an account and complete an application, online orientation and background check through the Plano ISD volunteer management system, VOLY, to be eligible for district/school volunteer opportunities. Please visit plano.voly.org to create a volunteer account and begin this process. These items will need to be completed by volunteers each school year.
