AUGUST NEWSLETTER
NORTH SALEM HS
Message from Principal Towe
Dear North Families and Students,
Hello from your friends at North Salem High School; we hope this finds you happy, healthy, and optimistic about the upcoming school year. We’re looking forward to starting!
Over the past several years we have faced extraordinary challenges together. Schools and families have worked hard to meet the needs of our students during an immensely complex time. Families have pulled off heroic efforts to provide care, connection, and learning for your students, and in the coming weeks, North is excited to again join you in that effort.
North families are essential partners, and we understand the importance of the teamwork of a kind and caring staff, strong and supportive parents and guardians, and a positive and engaged community. That teamwork ensures that every student and person that engages with North Salem High School experiences a caring and talented staff, a safe learning environment with access to equitable, high-quality education, and feels a sense of belonging. Every student benefits when we center equity for students of color, experiencing disability, tribal members, emerging multilingual, navigating poverty, houselessness, foster care, and non-dominant gender identities and sexual orientations. North holds racial equity with special consideration in our school where demographics have shifted in recent years.
North’s staff is an incredibly caring and talented group of professionals who are all excited and ready to work in partnership with you and your students. Please reach out with any questions! Go VIKS!
Sincerely,
Chad Towe
Principal
