The Hoffman HUM
Our Official Newsletter
... from the principal's desk ...
We are busy preparing for the end of the year now! We are excited to watch our final concerts and performances, and to enjoy a 5th-grade Picnic and an all-school Field Day!
We are also getting ready for major construction in every classroom this summer. Please excuse our mess, as we have to pack every single thing in the school by June 9th at 3pm. Classrooms will start to look a bit bare, and there will be boxes around!
Please help us remind all of the students that our expectations remain the same, so that we have a safe and peaceful end to the school year.
Thanks,
Selene Stewart

Teacher Appreciation Week: May 1st - 5th
- Please join the PTA and parent volunteers as we plan a very special week to honor our teachers and staff at Henking and Hoffman, May 1st - 5th. There will be special events each day including a catered luncheon at each school. There are many ways you can help out and we need your participation to make this week a success!
- Sponsor a Teacher/Staff Member: This will be used for raffle prizes for the luncheons--each staff member will get a gift card of some sort! Questions? Contact Nicole Carlson: nicolecarlson1@hotmail.com.
- You can also Provide Food/Drinks or Help at the Luncheons. For questions about the luncheons, contact Gillian Mathews mathews.gillian@gmail.com.
Spring Benefit: Parent's Night Out!
Join other Henking/Hoffman parents for a fun night with Jori Rose & The Thorns at Hangar Two on June 2nd! Heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and a Silent Auction (featuring class baskets) will round out the evening. We anticipate that this event will sell out quickly, so get your tickets now.Volunteers are also needed to help secure donations for the silent auction and help with day-of set up. Our goal is to organize 30-50 items that will be offered as a stand alone offering or paired with a couple of other items to form a package. If you are interested in joining the PTA silent auction committee (even an hour or so a week would help!), please email Michelle Greenhaw at eventsponsorships@hehopta.org.
