BE THANKFUL
We all have so much to be thankful for!
Our families, friends, teachers, students and opportunities are just a few.
Being thankful and grateful for the many wonderful people in your life shows others that they are valued. Simply saying “Thank You” is the easiest way for any of us to be appreciative.
Helping each other is another way we can show that we are thankful for our friends and family. Spend time helping someone with a school project or a home chore and let them know that you are thankful for all of the ways they have helped you at other times. That would definitely put a smile on anyone’s face!
Show that you are thankful for what you have by volunteering. It’s another way we can show that we appreciate all of the many ways we are fortunate.
Think about things that you are thankful for. It’s a great idea to make a list of those things to keep as a reminder for days when you need an extra boost of gratefulness. Also, share your list with family, friends, teachers and anyone whose name is on your list. I bet they are thankful for you too.
I appreciate all of you! I am thankful that I am your principal of CTA Goodman!
Your Principal,
Lisa M. Graham

Managing Student Anxiety with Resilient Health
Don't reinforce the child's fears.
Avoid suggesting, with your tone of voice or body language: "Maybe this is something that you should be afraid of."
Anxious kids often have anxious parents, Berman notes, because there are genetic and learned components of anxiety. If you can convey confidence in anxiety-provoking situations, both verbally and nonverbally, this will help your child to feel less anxious.

Tax Credit Donations

Extracurricular activities include Running Club, Art Club, Choir, Theater Club, STUCO, Science Camp and may other activites.
Thank you for supporting your child and our school!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.

Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
