MES Soaring to Success
Principal weekly update
Good afternoon parents!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to enjoy time with family and friends!
Last week we had our annual Stem Parade and it was a huge success! Thank you to all of the families for the help you provided our students in creating such amazing stem floats! This is truly one of my favorite activities of the year!
On December 15th the next parent coffee hour will be held. The topic for discussion will be the new standard based report cards that will be coming home that week. The instructional leaders and I will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding the new format. An invitation will be coming home next week along with a google link for those that can not make it in person.
There are several opportunities for you to show your kindness in the upcoming month!

A Note from the Nurse
Recess:
Please send your child to school dressed and ready to go out for recess daily. The cooler weather is upon us and it is important to dress appropriately. Children go outside for recess regardless of what they have come to school wearing. A child will not be kept inside if he/she is without the proper attire. Recess is daily with the exception of a rainy day.
If possible, please send a change of clothes in your child’s backpack, in the event your child gets wet or dirty.
Snacks:
Please be mindful while packing snacks for your child. We encourage healthy choices. That being said several students are bringing in candy and high caffeine energy drinks to school.
