As we approach the last two weeks of school, below are a few reminders for this week:

Grade 8

• Grades were due Friday, June 9th If you have not already done so, grades must be in by the end of your scheduled workday on Monday, June 12th .
• Faculty meeting Tuesday, June 13th 2:25pm Media Center
• Awards Ceremony, Tuesday, June 13th 5:00pm ABGS cafeteria
• Living Environment Regents, Wednesday, June 14th 12:15pm (Students arrive NLT 11:00am)
• Algebra Regents, Thursday, June 15th 12:15pm (Students arrive NLT 11:00am)
• Grab and Go lunch will be available on both Regents days. Encourage students to come early if they want lunch before the exam starts.
• End of Year Field Trip Friday, June 16th
• Juneteenth Holiday, Monday, June 19th

Grade 7

• Grades are due by the end your scheduled workday, Tuesday, June 13th
• During Regents exams, Wednesday, June 14th and Thursday, June 15th, tthe schedule for grade 7 students and teachers is as follows:
• There will be NO SCHOOL for Grade 7 students, Wednesday 6/14 - Thursday 6/15, a letter was sent home to parents in English and Spanish (Teacher provided work is to be assigned for those two days).
• Grade 7 teachers are to report to school for their regular scheduled workday to attend workshops facilitated by district directors.
• Juneteenth Holiday, Monday, June 19th

As per March 20, 2023 -

Moving forward,

1. When students are bought into the attendance office after parents are contacted, please do not leave the students in the attendance office awaiting pick up (we make confidential calls to CPS, meet with parents etc.).
2. For interpretation/Translation services, please utilize the Bilingual staff that are on the docket (referred back to November’s meeting notes). Interpretation requests are becoming overwhelming.
3. Anyone requesting report cards will be redirected to the clinicians in the building.
4. Please inform your security staff not to bring parents to the attendance office unannounced. Attendance staff will greet parents/guardian at the door.

VERY IMPORTANT

Laptop Carts will be taken out of circulation, STARTING THIS WEEK. The IT Department begins its end of the year inventory and will need to account for any and all laptops in ABGS. Please reach out to admin if you still have testing to finish so IT can accommodate.
