Walled Lake Special Services
What is the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)?
PAC is a committee of parents whose children receive Special Education services within the Walled Lake School District.
Our mission is to raise awareness of special education and work towards having a larger voice in the district, meaningful communication, more inclusive practices and parental involvement.
An Executive Committee meets once a month with Special Services Administrators to develop meetings, workshops, trainings, fun outings, and more that will educate, inform and support families related to this vast Special Education process.
PAC Meetings are held several times a year, typically in the evening either in-person or virtually. Anyone interested in supporting Special Services is welcome, come as often as you can!
- Go to https://www.wlcsd.org/departments/special-services for more information about Special Services within Walled Lake Schools. Be sure to check out the important links and check back often as new information is changing (and available).

Additionally, there are 2 parent representatives representing Walled Lake at Oakland Schools. These representatives attend monthly meetings at Oakland Schools to learn about agencies and resources, as well as review policies and procedures and discuss legislation and current topics related to Special Education. They then share this information locally in Walled Lake to Special Services staff, families, principals and PTAs. Meetings are open to everyone, feel free to attend and learn more!
