LMS Tiger Talk
November 17, 2023
Principal's Message
Tiger Families,
This week we concluded our "Pass It On" food drive with our students walking their donated food items down to the Prince of Peace church to support the LIFE Food Pantry. This was a great opportunity for our students to give back to the community that gives so much to them. Pass It On is a cherished tradition across Loveland, and we are fortunate that our students get the chance to participate in such a special cause as the holidays grow near. Thank you to our families for all the donations contributed throughout this food drive. This is what #beLOVEland is all about!
Supporting a district-wide program, LMS is excited to announce our "Grand Parents and Great Influences" appreciation breakfasts coming up in December. Details can be found below and we need your help to make this the best experience possible as we welcome in student's grand parents and great influences into our schools. Thank you in advance for your help and support. We are looking forward to these!
We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and break, spending time with family and loved ones. We are thankful for all of the support of our families and all that you do to raise such awesome kids. We will see everyone back at school on Monday, November 27th.
Take care and Go Tigers!

LMS Named a "Best School" by US News and World Report
Loveland City School District is happy to announce that more Loveland schools have been named to the “Best Schools” list by US News and World Report. Loveland Elementary School, Loveland Intermediate School, and Loveland Middle School have all been recognized as among the nation’s best schools.
“This recognition results from hard work and dedication from everyone involved with LES, LIS, and LMS. Students, families, staff, and building leaders all work together to make students successful and share in this honor. Way to go, Loveland!” Superintendent Mike Broadwater said.
Loveland Elementary School, Loveland Intermediate School, and Loveland Middle School join Loveland High School on the US News and World Report “Best Schools” list. Every building in the Loveland City School District eligible for the “Best Schools” designation has achieved it.
“Great public schools only exist with the support and encouragement of a great community. This recognition that our schools are among the ‘best’ is also a statement that our Loveland community is among the best. Loveland City School District is thankful for the ongoing support,” Superintendent Mike Broadwater said.

Grand Parents and Great Influences Appreciation Breakfasts
Loveland City School District is launching a new effort to recognize the importance of grand parents and other older community members. “Grand Parents and Great Influences” events will be taking place at all of our buildings during December. Each student will have an opportunity to spend time at school with a grand parent or another person who has been a great influence in their life.
At LMS, we are excited to be hosting “Grand Parents and Great Influences” appreciation breakfasts throughout December. Through Tiger Time classes, students will be recognizing one “grand parent or great influencer” to write a letter of appreciation letting them know the positive impact they have had on their life. This “grand parent or great influencer” could be a grand parent or another great influence (such as an aunt/uncle, coach, neighbor, family member, or anyone else) in their life. Our “grand parents and great influencers” will be invited to attend an appreciation breakfast where students will have the opportunity to pass along their gratitude in person here at school. For those people who are not able to attend the breakfast, we will be mailing these letters directly to the grand parent or great influencer's home address. These breakfasts will be organized by team and will occur from 7:30-8:00 on the following dates:
A-Team: Weds, 12/6
The Crew: Thurs, 12/7
REAL Team: Fri, 12/8
LEAD: Mon, 12/11
Elevate: Tues, 12/12
Supreme: Weds, 12/13
We need your help! We will be rolling this project out with students starting on Tues, 11/28. Please speak with your child about this project and who they will be recognizing as their grand parent or great influencer. We need your help to communicate this recognition with the family member being recognized, as well as confirm attendance and their address information. We are asking all parents to complete this form by Fri, 12/1 to communicate these details with us here at school.
Any questions, please feel free to reach out to us here at the school. Thank you for your support of our students being wonderful community ambassadors and giving back to those who have had such a positive impact on their lives!
Details for Grand Parent or Great Influence Appreciation Breakfasts:
Grand parents and great influencers may begin arriving at LMS anytime between 7:15-7:25. *It is important they do not arrive prior to 7:15 as we will have buses pulling out at that time.
Grand parents and great influencers will park behind the school and enter through Door 18 where they will check in and report to the LMS Cafeteria.
Grand parents and great influencers will meet their students in the cafeteria where they will have breakfast and share a moment catching up.
