HALLOWEEN INFORMATION
Halloween Parade - 2:15 pm
Families are welcome to attend the parade. The current forecast is calling for 58 degrees and occasional rain showers. Therefore, our parade will be inside the building.
If you wish to attend the parade, families can arrive between 2:00-2:15 pm. We will direct all family members to the gym and cafeteria. Family members will stand on the inside of track in the gym and cafe. The students will be lining the hallways (there won't be room for families in the hallway), and they will make their way down to the cafe/gym
Classroom Parties - After Parade - Roughly 2:45 pm
Classroom parties will begin immediately after the conclusion of our parade.
All family members are welcome to attend but must sign in the main entrance.
Family members will not be allowed in classrooms until the classroom teacher and students return back after the parade.
Peanut Restriction on Halloween Candy
This Halloween, please remind your children to avoid bringing candy containing peanut/tree nut products to school. This may seem like an inconvenience; however, as parents, you can understand the anxiety and concerns for these individual students.
The days following Halloween can be a time where we see the amount of candy in the building soar. We encourage students to leave their Halloween candy at home, especially those containing peanut products.
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
As you plan for school Halloween festivities, please keep in mind that children are not able to wear costumes depicting violence or violent acts and should comply with the dress code policy.
Toy weapons, such as guns, knives, and swords need to stay home.
Please avoid sending your child to school with masks that restrict vision, face paint and make-up.
Costumes should not be worn to school on Halloween. Students will be given time to change prior to our Halloween fun.
We anticipate the parade will take about 30 minutes and the goal is to have all students back in classrooms (or headed back to classrooms) by 2:45 pm for parties to begin, if not before.
Families will sign in through the front doors. All are welcome to attend parties. However, we do encourage families to be mindful of the number of people attending. We have had a lot of illness going around. We would like to be smart about the number of visitors in the building.
All visitors must be on the emergency contacts. If you are planning on sending a visitor that isn't on the emergency contacts, please notify the office ahead of time.
Parents/guardians can sign-out students in the classroom if you will be taking your child(ren) home after the classroom party has ended.
If you have any questions, please ask the office!
