The first season of the Serenata Chamber Series was a great success, and we are so grateful to both our audiences and our wonderful roster of artists who made the concert season so magical!
Our opening concert, "Haydn to Dohnányi," featured the outstanding and energetic trio of Jesse Mills (violin), Tanner Menees (viola), and Joel Noyes (cello). Our "Autumn Reflections" was the perfect fall program connecting us with melancholic and reflective tones for changing leaves and crisper weather. For that program, we had the diaphanous sound of a flute (Laura Gilbert), harp (Tomina Parvanova Lyden), and viola (Jonathan Bagg) trio with the soprano voice (Ilana Davidson) performing the music of Debbusy, Ravel, Ben-Haim, and Fescobaldi.
For the holidays, we performed our first annual "A Child's Christmas in Wales" with carols and chamber music interwoven in a beautifully narrated performance by renowned actor Gary Lindemann. It is a tradition not to be missed!
And finally, in March, we concluded the 2022/2023 season by celebrating the music of Bach with "Bach's Birthday Bash"! This magnificent concert featured the much-loved works of the Anna Magdalena Notebooks. The outstanding early music ensemble included Krista Bennion Feeney (violin), Jessica Troy (viola), John Feeney, and Ilana Davidson (soprano).
Next season, we hope to present three concerts in Nyack, including our annual "A Child's Christmas in Wales" performance. Additionally, we are also delighted to present house concerts for those sponsors interested in hosting a more intimate musical experience.
