Principal's Message
Dear Mulino Families,
Hopefully, you were able to enjoy a beautiful weekend.
We are noticing an increase in students not meeting our school-wide expectations. For the next week, we will continue to reinforce our three main school rules where we coach students to be Kind, Responsible, and Safe. When displaying these behaviors, students are recognized and earn a Mulino Mustang Cash, (Schubels). The "cash" is saved for students to spend in the student store or to purchase "PRIDE Recess." Please help encourage your child to be kind, responsible, and safe.
As we enter our final months of school our teachers and staff members are going to be working to create balanced classes for the 2023-24 school year. This is a very thoughtful and time-intensive process, as valued members of this team we are giving families the opportunity to share important information about their child, not including teacher requests, as we work to create the best learning environment for all students. If you would like to complete the attached input form please make a copy of it and email it to me, at elise.hall@molallariv.k12.or.us.

I want to say thank you once again for all the work you do at home. Without family support the home-school connection is much harder. I appreciate all the conversations, concerns, and helpful tips you all have offered this year. I am thankful for this community.
Have a great week!

National Autism Awareness Month
National Autism Awareness Month raises awareness for autism and Asperger’s syndrome during April. Autism is a complex brain disorder that often inhibits a person’s ability to communicate, respond to surroundings, and form relationships with others.
According to WHO, about one in 270 people in the world has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASD is a group of developmental disabilities that causes challenges in many areas of one’s life. Some of the profoundly affected areas include social, communication, and behavior. Children with ASD are usually nonverbal or have restricted or repetitive behaviors. ASD also affects people of all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
