Ministry Spotlight: Prayer Team

Who we are:

The Prayer Team was created in Summer 2023 with the primary goal of praising God and rallying around people's needs and hardships that life can bring. This ministry was inspired by a previous prayer ministry that had to stop because of COVID and other health issues experienced by its members.

What we do:

The Prayer Team meets the first Saturday of each month at 10:00AM in the Fincastle sanctuary. Everyone is asked to bring names and situations with them so that the team can pray over them. This is not an exclusive club: everyone is welcome to attend! There is power in numbers as we gather together in Jesus' name. Also during this time, the sanctuary is open for all who would like to spend time with God.

Dear Fincastle Families,

We encourage you to use the resources below to talk with your children throughout the week. This information comes from Lifeway's The Gospel Project curriculum, which we use in Sunday School and Children's Church. The Memory Verse and Big Picture Question will last for the entire unit (4-6 weeks). If you have younger children, feel free to shorten or simplify these into manageable concepts. The Lesson and Bible Reading will be new every week.

Memory Verse: Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out. Acts 3:19

Big Picture Question: What is repentance?

Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus.

Bible Reading: 2 Kings 12; 2 Chronicles 24
