Stonybrook School Weekly Update #8

We closed the month of October with our Halloween Parade and classroom celebrations. From Pumpkin Math lessons in the 3rd grade to our parade, we ended October with many great activities! Thank you to all of our staff, students, and amazing families who attended our parade and assisted with classroom celebrations. Our students had an amazing day.

November is off to an exciting start! Our Kindness Krew had their first meeting with Mrs. Tenga and Mrs. Uttel. Our Veterans Day assembly will be held on November 6th, Parent/Teacher Conferences are already underway, and our first PEEC fundraiser is being held this week with our bagel sale.

The Book Fair has arrived. All students participated in a preview day where they were able to look at the books and begin to choose their favorite book.

Attached please find the minutes from the second Strategic Planning Meeting which was held on November 2, 2023.

Our Holiday Winter Concert will be held on the following dates. The concerts will be held at the KHS Auditorium.

December 11th at 6:30 p.m. - Choir only.

December 13th at 6:30 p.m. - 5th Grade Band only.

November 6th: Security Forum at 7:00 at KHS Auditorium. The link is attached if you would like to attend remotely.

November 6th, 7th, and 8th: Minimum Days for Students. These days are for Parent/Teacher Conferences.

November 7th: Evening Parent/Teacher Conferences

November 7th: Scholastic Book Fair will be open until 6:00 p.m.

November 9th and 10th: School Closed for NJEA Teacher's Convention

November 16th: Picture Retakes and all Class Pictures will be taken.

November 16th: K-5 Skate Night 6:00 - 7:30

November 22nd: Minimum Day for staff and students

November 23rd and 24th: School Closed for Thanksgiving.
