“Where faith soars, minds excel, and futures ignite”
Week of November 3rd- November 9th
2023-2024 School Year - Issue #11
"No one heals himself by wounding another. "
~ St. Ambrose
Hello St. Michael- St. Clement Students and Families,
What a delight it was to witness the tremendous turnout at the Trunk or Treat event this past weekend. It warmed my heart to see so many of you in attendance, both kids and parents, thoroughly enjoying yourselves.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mrs. Paula Dossa, the mastermind behind the coordination of this event. Without her tireless efforts, the Trunk or Treat would not have been possible. A special mention goes out to our incredible Student Council for fearlessly taking on the challenge of hosting the Haunted House for the first time since the onset of COVID. I am excited to witness their growth and unique touch on this event in the years to come.
Lastly, mark your calendars for next Thursday as WJZ and the charismatic Marty Bass will be broadcasting live from our Bazaar. Don't miss out on this exciting segment!
As we step into the first weekend of November, I wish each and every one of you a blessed and joyous time!
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp

Student Council News
Coat Drive for ShareBaby
ShareBaby, a non-profit community organization, addresses the unmet basic needs of Baltimore's most vulnerable young children through the distribution of diapers and other essential items.
As the weather gets colder, they face an increased need for winter coats. Each winter season our community partners request thousands of coats for the children they serve. Unfortunately, they never have enough.
The Student Council will be hosting a coat drive from Monday, November 6 - Friday, November 17th.
**We need your help to collect NEW and gently used warm winter coats in sizes newborn - 6x. Our highest need is for toddler sizes 2T - 5T.**
Purple Friday's
Let's celebrate the 2023 Ravens season and embrace Purple Fridays! We invite the entire school community to join us every Friday, unless there's a game scheduled on a Monday or Thursday, in which case we'll have a special Purple Day. Kindly follow these guidelines to make the most of this exciting tradition:
- Students are permitted to wear a Ravens Jersey, T-Shirt, Hoodie, or Jacket in place of their school uniform polo/shirt.
- Students are permitted to wear a plain Purple T-Shirt or Hoodie in place of their school uniform polo/shirt.
- Being good sports, if you are not a fan of the Ravens, another teams Jersey, Hoodie, or T-Shirt will be permitted in place of their school uniform polo/shirt.
- Everything else is Friday uniform as usual.

Redemptorist preacher and reformer. Clement preached, built orphanages and schools, and established a vast Redemptorist presence in the city.
