Note from Dr. Mullenschlader
On Friday, October 6, we will be recognizing the students who have practiced the virtue of courtesy in extraordinary ways during the month of September. The children learned that letting others go first, practicing manners, and showing awareness of others feelings are all practical ways that we can act courteously. Building on these "holy habits" each month is an opportunity for us to bring these children closer to God as we are cementing in the pillars of human dignity. Each month builds on top of the virtue that was previously learned. From affability, we practiced courtesy, and now this month we will practice generosity. Forming students of virtue is an essential goal of the mission of our school. Because, ultimately, when we build a life of virtue, we are building saints. Have a blessed weekend!
Safe Touch
Starting next week, we will begin teaching Safe Touch lessons for our students. Safe Touch teaches students personal safety and appropriate boundaries. Attached below is the letter that provides an overview of Safe Touch. Safe Touch is taught at every school in the archdiocese and is part of Safe Environment program developed by the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Please read the letter from Fr. Theby, which provides information on the program.
