MES Soaring to Success
Principal weekly update
Good afternoon parents!
Get your book character costumes ready for October 31st! Students will spend some of their day enjoying festival like activities through out the day. Art projects, games and music will be part of the festivities as well as a book character parade for PreK -2! Please make sure that all the parts of the costumes are labeled as we do not want anyone to lose part of their Halloween costumes for the big night. One other reminder: If you are sending in treat bags please do not send candy/food. In addition, we are a Latex-Free school so please do not send any balloons or other items containing latex. Thank you so much for your help with this!
Many of you have been inquiring about the missing playground equipment. The equipment that was removed was deemed not up to code for safety and had parts on them that could not be fixed or replaced. We needed to err on the side of caution and remove the equipment. As always, safety is a top priority. For that reason we also removed the metal picnic tables. They were badly damaged in some areas. With the help of the PTO we are working to replace both the tables and the equipment.
Remember that tomorrow night is our curriculum night in the gym from 6-7. Hope to see you all there! Have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Pinho
