In her â100 Day Plan," the Superintendent outlined her desire to be the âlead learner" in the district and to adopt a learning orientation to fully understand the context of SCCPSS. To help her accomplish this goal, Dr. Watts has announced several dates for Community Conversations hosted by school board members in their respective districts.
On October 18 at 6:00pm, District 4 Board Representative Shawn Kachmar will host a Town Hall where youâll hear District updates and have the opportunity to share your input and feedback with Dr. Watts. The meeting will be held at the auditorium of Islands High School, 170 Whitemarsh Island Rd., and will last approximately one and a half hours.
These listening sessions will help Dr. Watts learn about the values, expectations, and goals of the community as we further establish priorities for ensuring a quality education for every student.
Join us to lend your voice to the conversation! For more information, call (912) 395-5538. Have advance questions? Click here for our Advance Q&A Form.

Important Read: Dress Code
With second quarter beginning on October 10th, it's time for a dress code reset. All students are required to adhere to dress code expectations every day. As a reminder, students are not to wear leggings as uniform pant bottoms. Slippers, crocs, and slides are not allowed at anytime. Shorts and skirts cannot be shorter than three inches above the knee. Hats, caps, and hoods are not to be worn on the head while in the building. Bookbags must be clear or mesh.
Tops must be solid white, teal, or black. Tops may be polo-style shirts, collared blouses or turtlenecks.
Bottoms must be solid black or khaki shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, capri pants or pants/slacks
A daily 95% dress code compliance for the week will earn the student body a free dress down day on Monday, October 16th. If earned, notification will be included in the October 15th Shark Newsletter.
