School Attendance Matters!
Watch For Your Family's Refrigerator Magnet Coming This Week
September is Attendance Awareness Month
To celebrate Attendance Awareness Month, K-12 students will receive a great communication tool this week from Berkeley County Schools (BCS). A BCS school calendar refrigerator magnet (just like the one pictured below) with a convenient list of all scheduled holidays, two-hour late arrivals, and two-hour early dismissals will be provided to your child from their school. It has a place to document when your child is absent, which will help your child to see how many days they have missed from school. It has a QR code linked to the online excused absence form so your school will know the reason that your child was absent.
Why Am I Receiving a Refrigerator Magnet from BCS?
- Because it has important dates listed all in one place.
- It has a great place to document student absences.
- Kids can see how many days they have missed.
- There is a QR code to connect you to the online excused absence form.
- It can secure report cards and student art to your refrigerator.
- Because we value your student and their attendance at school!
