I hope you’re having a wonderful start to 2023 so far. We have been very busy at AVA during the first 100 days of school and are very excited about all of the awesome teaching & learning experiences that are happening every day! January has been an excellent month at the Alisal Virtual Academy, and we are so grateful to collaborate with the Salinas Community Science Workshop AND LEGO Education for hands-on explorations both on campus and for sending kits home with students each month. Here are some AVA in Action highlights for the beginning of 2023:

We have an important update to share with you: AVA teachers will be conducting in-person testing for students to take mid-year and end of the trimester reading, writing, and mathematics assessments. This in-person assessment week will take place in your child's classroom on the AVA campus during the week of February 6-10, 2023, from 8:30 AM - 12 PM. A schedule will be shared with your next week to sign-up for a day and time. Please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.
