Student Representative Report
Lexy: Hello board and community members! This month has been very exciting for BASH students.
Olivia: I would like to congratulate BASH seniors on completing their senior presentations for the year. From what I have heard, it’s been all good things. It was definitely stressful for seniors to fit their whole high school experience into one presentation. Now that the seniors have presented, we are all taking a deep breath of relief.
Lexy: While seniors had their presentations, sophomores and juniors were also having an eventful day! Sophomores completed the PreACT, and Juniors took the PreSAT the entire half day, so we want to congratulate them for persevering through those 4 hours!
Lexy: BASH also had our first Pep Rally of the year on Friday, October 14th, in preparation for the Football game! We had some great announcers and class tug-of-war games. The pep rally ended with great dancing from the teachers! We saw some great spirit from BASH students and teachers, which is awesome!
Olivia: BASH had their homecoming football game Friday, October 14th; we won 34-21! It was a big show out, and our student section was full of pink for our pink out. At the game during halftime, our homecoming queen was announced. Congratulations to Alyssa Albanese! That Saturday was BASH’s homecoming dance, and we ran out of tickets. This is good and bad in its own ways, as you can imagine. BASH students had an amazing time. At the dance, the homecoming king was announced, and I would like to congratulate Jacob Benner! It was a night to remember.
Lexy: Speaking of pink out, BASH had spirit week during the week of October 10th. It started on Tuesday with neon day, Wednesday was decades day, Thursday was class colors, and Friday was pink out! Unfortunately, not many decade outfits were seen on Wednesday due to Presentations and testing. Still, many students participated in spirit week with, like Olivia said, an incredible amount of pink on Friday!
Olivia: The student council at BASH is hosting the PASC state conference from November 3rd to the 5th. Under the direction of our new advisors, Mr. Pennington and Mrs. Musselman, they are frantically trying to get everything done and ready for the conference. We have no doubt that everything will fall into place and that the conference will go well.
Lexy: On Friday, Middle School East will be having its first dance of the year. We hope the turnout is good and that students will have fun and make great memories with their friends!
Lexy: We want to spotlight the girl’s soccer team for being recipients of the USC High School Team Academic Award! To qualify for this award, varsity soccer teams must have a combined GPA of 3.25 or over. We are proud to say that Boyertown had a GPA of 3.69! We congratulate the varsity girls and Coach Goddard for this amazing accomplishment. It highlights how important sports and academics are in their own right.
Lexy: Thank you to everyone at the meeting tonight for listening, and we hope to have even more exciting news for everyone next month, have a great night!
