Thank you for an excellent turn out at Back to School Night. It wonderful to see so many families. I am sure you noticed that we have an incredibly experienced staff who prides themselves in the most current teaching practices. Please be sure to complete all the homework we have assigned:

1. Complete LCFF form in Parent Portal (we are at risk of losing $120K in site funding)
2. Check Canvas and Google Classroom to see upcoming assignments
3. Check PowerSchool regularly to monitor grades
4. Read weekly emails sent by staff and or connect to their Remind (not all teachers use Remind)
5. Email teachers directly if you have any concerns about your student's progress
6. Email counselors if you have any social/emotional concerns about your student

We are here to serve your child in any capacity as we understand that middle school is a special time in a child's life. We are grateful to be apart of your child's journey and are here to help them become the next best versions of themselves.

We do not allow any food or drink deliveries for students. If you would like to bring your child lunch, you must stay and eat with them. This happens frequently for birthdays and other special occasions. We always love when parents can stay and have lunch with their kiddos.

For the 2023-24 school year, De Portola Middle School will provide both BREAKFAST and LUNCH for all students. Breakfast will be served from 8:30-8:45 AM. Students just need their four digit PIN number, which can be found on their schedules.

All families must complete a meal application on paper or online even if your student does not eat cafeteria food. Meal Application and LCFF forms are used to determine funding for our schools. Please complete the forms in the packet.

If you want your student to be able to purchase additional items such as cookies and water bottles, please register at PayPams and you can add money to an account that will align with your child's lunch pin number.
