On Friday, September 1, 2023 at 2:15 p.m., Main held it's first evacuation drill of the school. year. This is commonly referred to as a a fire drill and we do these every month. We will also conduct several other drills, such as earthquake drills, tsunami drills, and lockdown drills. Conducting drills is an important part of our preparation for emergency situations. Drills help everyone understand what to expect during an emergency.
This upcoming week, we will do our initial lockdown drill. Some drills can elicit concern and stress because of the nature of the drill. To help lower the level of stress around lockdown drills, we are communicating early to you and your child about the upcoming lockdown drill at Main Elementary. This will be held sometime between Tuesday and Friday of this week.
